Ruby Lee Darby, age 86, of Marble Hill, MO, passed away February 21, 2006 at the Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, MO. She was born August 19, 1919 in Marble Hill, MO, daughter of William T. and Mary Dell Crites Fox. She and Lon Otto Darby were united in marriage on April 14, 1935 in Jackson, MO, and he preceded her in death in 1940.
She worked as a sewing machine operator in the Advance Shoe Factory for several years.
She is a charter member of the Hahn Chapel General Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons Gary Dale Darby, Hillsboro, MO; Bobby Dean Darby, Marble Hill, MO; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, one son Manford "Bub" Darby; one brother Lester Ray Fox; two sisters Connie Snider; and Freda Weibley; and three grandchildren.
Funeral service is February 23, 2006 at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill with Rev. Gerald Huff officiating. Burial will follow in the Crader Family Cemetery near Marble Hill, MO.
