Daughter of Charles (Chas.) Porter and Rachel Lufkin Hamilton. She married 1st William P Allen (1814-1860). She had six children. Her 2nd husband was John Merrill. After his death, she married a neighbor, Asa Almond Lufkin, when she was 57. When he died, she married David Tileston Lufkin (1817-1899), who had returned from Sacramento, California.
