DIED, in Highland County, on Tuesday the 10th of July, Mrs. Margaret Campbell, wife of Mr. Benjamin B. Campbell, aged 38 years. All who have had tho privilege of an acquaintance with this excellent lady will admit that her life has furnished one of the few chances in which there is no danger that eulogy will exceeded the truth. For 16 years she was a consistent member of Pisgah Presbyterian Church.

From FG contributor Malcolm Hill
Margaret (Slaven) Campbell's father was Stewart Slaven, who was a son of pioneer John Slaven and his wife Elizabeth Stuart Slaven. Stewart Slaven's wife (and Margaret's mother) was Isabella (Johnson) Slaven, born about 1772, according the following obituary published in "Watchman of the South" in April 12, 1842.
"Departed this life, at the residence of her son-in-law, Mr. Benjamin B. Campbell, of Bath Co., on the 28th of February, Mrs. Isabella Slaven, in the 70th year of her age."
