Margaret H. Proctor of the Overlook Medical Center, New Wilmington, formerly of Euclid Avenue, passed away the evening of April 9, 2014, at Jameson Hospital. Margaret was born Feb. 27 in New Castle. She was a daughter of the late John and Mary Pippin Dudash. Margaret was married to Howard R. Proctor. They spent 25 wonderful years together. He preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1974. She was Roman Catholic and member of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish. In addition to being a homemaker to her husband and children, Mrs. Proctor retired after 20-plus years as a custodian for the Union Area School District. Margaret loved to cook and bake. She was a very giving person who loved helping others. Margaret's greatest joy was being with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Proctor is survived by two daughters, M. Kathy Criss and Karen L. (Weldon) Link, both of New Castle; a sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Williams of New Castle; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Howard, Margaret was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters. Calling hours are 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, at the Noga Funeral Home, 1142 S. Mill St. A procession will leave the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. Monday for Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. The Rev. Frank D. Almade, pastor of Mary, Mother of Hope Parish, will officiate. Rite of committal and burial will be in St. Josephs Cemetery.
