Mrs. Andrew Small received news Tuesday from Durango, Colo. of the death of her sister, Mrs. Clara Wilson. Mrs. Wilson formerly lived here and will be remembered as Mrs. Clara Botkin.

Mrs. Wilson Dies At Home in Animas City
Mrs. Clara Mae Wilson, resident of Durango since 1920, passed away at her home in Animas City early this morning. She was 76 years old. Mrs. Wilson, who was born in Michigan (sic), was married to J. A. Wilson in Kansas City in July 1919. They moved from Denver to Durango in 1920 and made their home on a ranch in the west part of the county until 1936 when they moved to Animas City where she has resided since. Surviving are her husband, J. A. Wilson; three sons, William and Cecil of Topeka, Kans., and Ralph of Wichita, Kans.; three (sic) daughters, Mrs. Mabel Hall of Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Bessie Short of Burr Oak, Kans. Funeral announcements will be made by the Hood mortuary.

Clara Mae Wilson, 78 (sic), Dies Wednesday
Clara Mae Wilson, 76, and for the past 18 years a resident of this section, passed away at her home in Animas City early Wednesday morning. Funeral arrangements have not been made pending the arrival of relatives. She has been in ill health during the past 6 months. Mrs. Wilson was born in Kansas City, Mo. (sic) April 3, 1862. She married J. A. Wilson in Kansas City in July 1818 (sic -- other article said july 1919, which would be right), from whence they moved to Denver only to come to Durango a year later in 1920, when they took up a ranch in the west part of La Plata county. In 1936 they moved to Animas City to live. Her husband, three sons, William and Cecil of Topeka, Kans., Ralph of Wichita, Kans.; two daughters, Mrs. Mabel Hall, Columbus, Ohio, and Mrs. Bessie Short, Burr Oak, Kans.; thirteen grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews survive. Funeral services are under the direction of the Hood mortuary.
