Michael Ragsdale, age 52, died at Royal C Johnson Veteran's Medical Center in Sioux Falls. He was born on September 21, 1952 at Paducah, KY. He married Diane Poncelet at Howard on November 12, 1983. He is survived by Diane of Madison. Three sons - Chance and Dustin both of Madison and Jason of Hammond, IN. A daughter Rachel Knapp of Plainfield, IL. Four grandchildren. Two sisters - Gail McManus of Long Valley, NJ and Bobbi Fischer of Charlotte, NC. One brother - Terry Ragsdale of Charlotte. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at Weiland Funeral Chapel with Rev Robert Vinslauski officiating. Burial will be in St Thomas Cemetery with military honors by Madison VFW. He grew up in Atlanta, GA before moving to Illinois where he graduated from Crete High School, Crete, IL. He served in the US Air Force in Vietnam from 1972 to 1974. He lived in Michigan before moving to Madison in 1982. He drove truck for Apple Lines and B&G Trucking and worked at the Farmers Elevator. He last drove truck for Skillet Transportation.
