Longtime Odessa resident, Terry Dale Rimer Sr. went to join our Heavenly Father on September 24, 2014, at the age of 65. The next part of his journey has begun. He was active until the last week of his life, living the life of a true Texas Oilman.
He began his oilfield career at the age of 16. Terry's business sense proved to be successful, spawning several companies in Bryan, TX, and Odessa, TX. He was a musician by heart and had a passion for singing that will live on through the voices of his children and grandchildren. His heart was the size of Texas and he was always there to help anyone in need with no reward ever expected.
He was born on September 13, 1949, in Shawnee, OK, to Arthur and Zola Mae Rimer. He was the youngest of 10 siblings. He married Margie Ann Russell on November 16, 1977.Terry is survived by his wife, Margie A. Rimer; six children Sabrina Early, Roxane Cutchall, Terry Rimer Jr., Barbrina Cecil, Timothy Rimer, and Maranda Rimer. He was blessed with sixteen grandchildren Zachary, Julieanna, Mattie, Kaylee, Dylan, Lillyahna, Amaya, Cassidy, Trinity, Peyton, Dawson, Ethan, Alex, Terry III, Ethan Samuel, Liberty, as well as two great-grandchildren Destiny and Kylie Kay. He is also survived by his brothers Donald, Larry, and Wayne; and his sister Janet Shaw.
Terry was preceded in death by both of his parents, and brothers Cecil and Glen, as well as his sisters Wanda Lawson, Audrey McAnally, and Dolores Hennech.
