Jason "Jake" Craft N3MEC, 53, of 46 Sunset Drive in Girard, passed from this life to a better one on Wednesday, May 9, 2007. He was born February 22, 1954, a son of the late Carl E. and June Etter Craft. Jake was a graduate of Fairview High School and a carpenter by trade. He had last worked at Lake City Manufactured Housing prior to his disability in 1978. Jake was a ham radio operator and he enjoyed gardening, flowers and puzzles. He is survived by his wife Kathy Burke Craft; a stepson Michael Burke and his wife Helen of Lake City; a sister Candice Chin of Southern Pines, N.C.; two brothers: Clifton Craft and his wife Ann of Fairview, and Gaylon Craft and his wife Jeanne of Henrietta, N.Y.; a deeply loved granddaughter Kathrine; a niece Sarah; and four nephews: Rick, Tim, Jim and Jacob. Funeral arrangements for Jake will be private and are being handled by the Burton Funeral Home, 525 Main Street East, Girard, PA 16417. Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
