Mr. VanCloostere was born October 26, 1907, in Murphysboro to Joseph E. and Julia A. (Betz) VanCloostere. He had three sisters -- Lucy Batty, Minnie Schwebel and Katherine Pelzer.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jewell Thompson VanCloostere and by his second wife, Gertrude Provoe VanCloostere.
Mr. VanCloostere retired from Tuck Tape in Carbondale. He was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church, and was an Army veteran of World War II.
