LAMB, Doris Anne, age 86 of Alpena, died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Alpena Regional Medical Center.
Doris Anne Daleski was born May 28, 1928 in Alpena to Edward and Thelma (Fields) Daleski. She married Francis Lamb on January 15, 1949 at St. Bernard Catholic Church. He preceded her in death in 2007. Doris was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Alpena and also a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Florida for 35 years and a member of the D.A.R. She was extremely dedicated and devoted to her family and many friends, enjoying playing cards, sewing, reading and traveling.
Surviving is her daughter, Cynthia (Steven) Kwast of Alpena, Two grandchildren: Stacy Mikesch, Eric (Jody) Kwast, three great-grandchildren: Lauren, Addison, Sophia, a sister, Kathleen (Greg) Mischley of Rochester Hills, and four brothers: Capt. James Daleski of Alpena, Col. Richard Daleski of Eatonton, GA, Edward Daleski of Connecticut, Fredrick Daleski of Alpena and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Daleski.
Family and friends will gather on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at St. Bernard Catholic Church from 10:00 am until the memorial Mass of the Resurrection at 11:00 am with Fr. Gerald Okoli as celebrant. Inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of The Sunrise Shore. McWilliams Funeral Home – Alpena assisted the family.
