LEXINGTON – Mrs. Nola Mae Honeycutt Jones, 82, of S. Main Street, died Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at her home. She was born September 8, 1932, in Davidson County to the late Isaac and Viola Seamon Honeycutt.

Mrs. Jones was a loving member of Heavenly Sunlight Baptist Church and was retired from Guilford County Sheriff’s Department. She was a member of Senior Services of Davidson County and enjoyed gardening and cooking, especially making homemade biscuits. She especially loved her cat, Miss Kitty.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elijah Ervin Jones in 1966.

Survivors include three children, a sister, of Greensboro; four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 27, at Eaton Funeral Chapel, Mocksville, with Pastor Allen Smith and the Rev. James Huneycutt officiating. Interment will follow St. Matthews Lutheran Church Cemetery, Mocksville.
