Mrs. Barr was born on Dec. 2, 1939, in Red Creek, W. Va., to Robert Lee Raines and Virginia Bonner Raines Sheets. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church, the Church Women's Circle and retired from the IRS after 30 years of service.
Mrs. Barr is survived by a daughter Leigh Ann Barr of Greensboro; two sons, Randy Barr and wife Sherry and Jeff Barr and wife Rhonda, all of Greensboro; mother Virginia M. Sheets and stepfather Harold of West Virginia; a sister Marsh Lipscomb of Greensboro; a brother, Robert Keith Raines of California; a granddaughter, Jennifer Barr of Greensboro; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Service.
