Edwin was a quadriplegic He was involved in an automobile accident in Feb. 2006 and had been paralyzed ever since. This accident occurred just one month after the death of his cousin Debra Lynn Barwick . This was not the first tragedy in this family. When Edwin was eight years old, he had two brothers Alton and Jerrold who were killed in an automobile accident.
He loved NASCAR racing and watched every race that came on television.
Edwin was cared for at home and never entered a nursing facility. He always said he wanted to die at home.
He had a special friend Rock, his white English bulldog. Rock has been searching the house for him.
Edwin is survived by two beautiful daughters, twin grandsons and one granddaughter and two brothers. One of his brothers did most of the caring for him.

Visitation on Sunday Sept. 28, 2014 at McLane Funeral Home, Valdosta, Ga.
Burial on Monday Sept. 29, 2014 at Redland Church of Christ Cemetery in the plot with his parents and his brother Alton.
