Stephen Carl Hicks, 61, of Poplar Bluff, MO, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2014, at his residence at
Maplecrest Care Center in Poplar Bluff.

Mr. Hicks was born July 1, 1953, in Poplar Bluff, Mo, to Carl Homer Hicks and Thelma Robertson Brace Hicks. He enjoyed music, playing his bass guitar and singing, and watching football.

Survivors include his children: Kelly Stephen Hicks, (Myra), of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Kresha Mae Hicks Limberopolous, and Keri Kajori Thompson (Jason) of Blacklick, Ohio, and Kegan Marvin Hicks of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Sabrina, Kamron, Demetri, Dominik, Hanna, Keanna, and Kegan Jr.; a brother Charles Alvin Brace, of St. Louis; and former wife, Lana Whitmer Chinn.

His parents, a brother Vern Edwin ""Bud" Brace and a sister, Wilma Mae Brace Carnevale preceded him in death.

Visitation will be Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cotrell Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at the chapel with Rev. James Schremp officiating. Burial will be at New Oak Hill Cemetery.
