The former Ethel Moore married Ivan Smith April &L1924 in. Midland. He preceded her in death Aug. 30, 1985.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Viola Smith of Rhodes, Margie and husband Tom Valley of Hope, and Thelma and husband Dave Cole of Rhodes; 5 sons, Lawrence and wife Pat of St Ignace, Millard and wife Adeline of Midland, Earl and wife Gertrude, Merle and wife Beverly and James and wife Salley, all of Rhodes; 2 brothers, Lloyd Moore of Texas, and Oliver Moore of Florida; 2 sisters, Marjorie Speigel of Florida, and Doris Bauder of Midland; 37 grandchildren; and 65 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret Smith in 1978, a grandson, Bill Smith June 5,1994; a brother and 6 sisters.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday from the Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin with the Rev. Curtis Gordon officiating. Burial will be in the Billings Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association of Michigan. Gladwin County Record dated 2- 1/1995.
