She married Obediah Franklin Beene on November 23, 1858, in Itawamba County, MS.

Obie and Mollie had eight children together:
Russell O. Beene (1859-1862)
Ella Eunice (Beene) Little (1861-1942)
William Obediah Beene (1865-1956)
Sallie Beene (1867-1880)
Mary Elizabeth "Bettie" (Beene) Lindsay (1870-????)
Robert Livingston Beene (1872-1956)
Samuel David Beene (1874-1942)
Willis Dixon Beene (1877-1968).

She was known as a very determined woman. One story about her, passed down from my grandfather, Aaron Beene, tells about the time she took little Aaron (he was about 4 or 5 years old, so this was around 1921 or 1922) to go see his Uncle Sam (Samuel Beene). The weather turned bad while they were there, but after a few days, Mollie was determined to go back home. Sam tried to convince her to wait a few days, but she insisted that she would leave right now and be home in time to have breakfast with Obie's family. Sam finally gave in, and they started home.

Sam, Mollie, and little Aaron managed to make it the 22 miles home in the middle of that raging storm. Sam had a buggy that he was borrowing from some neighbors, so he hitched up his horses and they started on the road. They ran into some downed trees, but Sam had thought to bring an axe with him, so he just chopped them up and they were able to continue. Soon they came to the Navasota river. The water was up to the bridge, but they managed to cross it. Sam took the buggy across first, then walked his mother and nephew across.

Despite all the obstacles, they did indeed make it home in time to have breakfast with the family!
