Betty E. Farrar, 73, of Springdale died Friday (Dec. 28, 2001) in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born March 20, 1928, in DuBois, she lived in Springdale most of her life.
She enjoyed working at her son's business, Thrifty Dry Cleaners in Springdale.
Mrs. Farrar was a member of Springdale United Methodist Church. An avid reader, she especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Thomas R. Farrar; a son, John Farrar of Saxonburg; two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Penny) Dombroski of Lower Burrell and Mrs. Lawrence (Terry) Seiler of Springdale; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Katherine Buick Noble; three brothers, Rubin, Charles and Norman Noble; and a sister, Violet Landis.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 tonight and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in SPRINGDALE at the CHARLES B. JARVIE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday in Springdale United Methodist Church with the Rev. Howard Burrell officiating.
Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery.
