Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Antone and Mary (Perry) Botelho, she had been a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to her retirement she had worked as a Nanny for many children throughout the years and they were affectionately known as “Nanny’s Kids.” Mrs. Soares had survived a courageous battle with Breast Cancer several years ago. She was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She was the sister of the late Barbara Sylvia and Kenneth Botelho.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday June 19, 2014 at 10:30 AM at the Potter Funeral Home.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 5-8 PM. Interment will be in Assonet Burying Grounds, Assonet. Flowers are acceptable or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, Massachusetts 01701.
