Edith Irene Fike, 84, of Granite City, Ill., formerly of Iberia, died Monday, Feb. 18, 1991 at Anderson Hospital in Maryville, Ill. She was born Sept. 11, 1906 in Salem to Dempsey and Elizabeth Watson Pace. On June 26, 1926 she was married at Edwardsville, Ill. to Rector Ray Fike, who died April 8, 1966.
Mrs. Fike lived most of her life in Iberia, moving to Granite City six years ago. She was a member of the Fairview Christian Church near Iberia.
Surviving her are two daughters, Paralee McDowell of Collinsville, Ill. and Glorialee Burnett of Granite City, Ill.; a brother, Archie Pace of Granite City, Ill.; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Stevinson-Mossman Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Floyd Barlow officiating. Burial will be in the Livingston Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
