Doyce W. Ariail Sr. of Cherokee Hills, Sevierville, died in Baptist Hospital, Knoxville Friday, February 6, after a short illness resulting from a heart attack.

Mr. Ariail was owner and operator of the Sevierville Tastee-Freez for the past 12 years.

He was born in Easley, South Carolina on June 1, 1910 where he lived and worked with his father's dairy and in the Ariail Cotton Mill, Ariail, South Carolina until joining T.V.A. in 1942. After spending a year in Guntersville, Alabama, he moved to Sevierville in 1944 where he has since made his home.

He was a member of the Sevierville Lions Club, other businessmen and civic organizations, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Sevierville where he was a member of the official board.

Burial was in the Smoky Mountains Memory Gardens.
