Jody, age 39, died at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She was the daughter of Michael and Barbara (Smith) Alsup. She graduated from DeKalbe High School in 1993 and Kishwaukee College of Nursing. She married Scott David Young on October 6, 2012, in Rockford. She is survived by her husband, her sons, Garrett Hackbarth and Jacob Hackbarth, her parents, and her brother, Michael Alsup. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary Alvis, A. Lee Smith, and Virgil Smith. Funeral services were held at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb. Burial was in Fairview Park Cemetery.
