She was the beloved wife of Danny L. Murphy married 45 years.
She was born on December 15, 1948 to the late Mr. Milton A. LeBlanc and Mrs. Yola Landry LeBlanc of Elton, Louisiana.
Kathy is survived by her son Matthew P. Murphy, her daughter Dawn M. Murphy, her grandsons Logan K. (Rachel) Murphy and Luke H. Norman, her granddaughter Landry E. Norman, her three brothers Donald J. (Jan), Gerald A. (Kathleen), and Harold L. (Charlene) LeBlanc, her two sisters Annette Y. (Don) McSpadden and Victoria M. LeBlanc, her sister-in-law Channa R. (Curtis) Oubre, and brother-in-law Ronnie L. (Irene) Murphy. She was preceded in death by her sister Joan M. (Emery) Quebodeaux.
Kathy, a graduate of the University of Louisiana - Lafayette, was a retired school teacher, legal assistant and paralegal. She and Danny moved to Hot Springs Village in October of 2004, where she was an avid golfer, bowler, and member of a monthly Pokeno group. She belonged to the Ladies of Sacred Heart and donated much of her time volunteering with the Mountain Pine Elementary School and delivering food to the Jackson house with her husband. She supported the Knights of Columbus and Men's Club charities, as well.
Kathy was a loving mother and devoted wife. She adored her grandchildren and spent as much time as she could with them sharing her wisdom, knowledge, and humor. She touched the lives of all of us in her own unique way and had a gift for making each person in her life feel special.
The rosary will be held at 6:00 pm. in Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, 295 Balearic Road, Hot Springs Village, AR.
