Audrey Mae Tubbs Hawkins, 78, of Livonia, Louisiana, died Thursday, March 2, 2006, at the Point Coupee General Hospital in New Roads, LA. Born at Dry Bayou in Ashley County, she was a resident of Livonia for the past ten years and was a former resident of Hamburg. She was a retired bookkeeper and a member of the Gardner Baptist Church.


Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Johnnie Hawkins of Livonia; a son, Ricky Hawkins and wife Denese of Hamburg; a daughter, Peggy Pinsonat and husband John of Livonia; six grandchildren, three great-granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert & Frances Fleming Tubbs; and four sisters, Blanche McCain, Harriett Wallace, Rachel Wallace and Lavelle Wallace.

Grave-side services were at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 4, at the Promise Land Cemetery with Rev. Michael Reese officiating. Pallbearers were Marvin, Herbert, Andrew, Travis & Emmitt Wallace, Jimmy Wilcoxon and Floyd & J.L. McCain. Honorary pallbearers were Ted, Robert and Johnny Delbert Wallace and Thomas McCain.
