Dr. Robinson was a medical doctor in private practice, retiring in 1999. He completed his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, DC. He was board certified by the American Academy of Neurology and American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He was founder of the Lafayette Home Hospital Sleep Disorder Center in 1978. He was an Army veteran, serving as a major from 1962-1969 at Fort Sam Houston, TX. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Lafayette. He was a member of the Tippecanoe County Medical Society and the Indiana State Medical Society.
He married Ann M. Carden at Albany, NY, on May 26, 1962, and she survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Dr. Bridget Robinson-Riegler (husband Dr. Greg Robinson-Riegler) of Minneapolis, MN; a son, Dr. Patrick Robinson of Chicago, IL; and a sister, Lois Martin of Red Hook, NJ. Preceded in death by his parents, Frederick and Margaret Robinson.
