Daughter of Guy and Nina Hensley. She married Tech Sgt. Elmer Fletcher in 1942 in Ada, Minnesota. He survives.
She was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in McHenry. Amy worked at AC Spark Plug in Flint, Mich. assembling machine guns during World War II. After the war, she worked at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA for 5 years. She retired from Downy Veterans Hospital, Nursing Division after 21 years of service.
