Mrs. Mattie Lou Glover McCoy, 68, of Columbia died Saturday, Feb. 9, 2008, at Maury Regional Hospital.

Visitation with the family will be Wednesday from noon-1 pm at Bellafant Tabernacle Baptist Church with services to follow at 1 pm at the Church with Elder Claude Bellafant Eulogist. The body will lie in-state Tuesday at V K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home.

Burial is in Rosemount Cemetery.

V. K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

A native of. Maury County she was the daughter of the late Jasper and Leola Dobbins Glover. She attended the Maury County school system and was a member of Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Felix E. McCoy Jr; four brothers: Andrew Dale (A. D.) Dobbins, James Glover, John Glover and Jasper Glover; and sisters Maggie Lee Johnson and May Williams.

Survivors include her son Billy Wayne McCoy (Torey of Columbia; seven godchildren: Felix (Jana) McCoy of Arlington, TX, Larry Cannon of Columbia, Ronnie (Darlene) Cannon of Evanston, IL; four daughters: Sylvia (Robert ) Fitzgerald, Shelia (Willie) Tidwell. Deborah Maple, Janet (Tim) ) Waire all of Columbia; sisters Josephine Dobbins William, Willie Ruth Pillow both of Columbia; devoted friend Leah Abernathy; 18 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and four great- great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
