Harry Ver Ploeg, 73, 917 N. Main St., died October 24 at his home.

He was born Jan 4, 1902 on a farm near Dallas, the son of James and Gertrude Vander wilt Ver Ploeg.

He married Neva Gerry Van Willigan on Dec. 19, 1965.

He farmed north of Pella and for the past 17 years and been doing custom tree work with his brother, Alonzo.

He is survived by his wife, Neva; two daughters; Mrs. Marvin (Lydia) Slings, Sully; and Mrs. Jim (Janice) Vanden Berg, Pella; five grandchildren; two sisters and two brothers.
