She was born on April 15, 1860, at Independence, Mo., and had made her home at Eliza, Ill., before coming to Muscatine. Her marriage to Noah E. Smith occurred in May of 1904 at Kahoka, Mo.
Surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. Millard Miller, Eliza, Ill., and Mrs. Leona Jacobs, Canby, Ore.; several nieces and nephews.
The body is at the Fairbanks Home for Funerals where it will remain for services to be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday by the Rev. Ben Cleaver, pastor of the First Christian church. The body will be cremated and the ashes interred in the Eliza Creek cemetery.
