**Note
After many months of research, we may have finally found what happened to Carrie B. Ware, Mary Jane's first child with 1st husband, William M. Ware. We knew that Carrie was living after the divorce of her parents, with her father and his 2nd wife.
But after the 1880 Iowa census and before the 1885 Nebraska State census (where her family had moved to) there were no documents found listing Carrie...Until very possibly now, a 1899 marriage in Nebraska...
Still have not been able to prove that this is our Carrie, but the facts make us about 95% sure that she is. Her findagrave memorial is # 68831888, Carrie Belle Wier-born Aug 16, 1868 Wisconsin, died Dec 17, 1940 Camas Co, Wash. "daughter of William Wier". Unfortunately, it seems that her descendants have all since died.
-
Carrie's husband is Harry C. Paist, they married on March 27, 1899 in Kearney, Buffalo Co, Nebraska ).
**Thanks to Mary's great-granddaughter, Nancy, for her information, and research, on the 1872 divorce of Mary's first marriage, which also led to that document's stated attorney, Samuel Morgan Shortridge, as the uncle of William Ware.
