Kathleen R. Garner, 66, of Eaton, OH, passed away Tuesday evening, September 23, 2014 at Hospice of Dayton. Born January 9, 1948 in Detroit, MI, she was a daughter of the late Ronald P. & Doris R. (Dahlheimer) Lang. She loved the Lord and had a servant’s heart. She attended the St. Paul Church in Piqua, OH; volunteered for the Cancer and Heart funds; enjoyed entertaining; was well known for making the best pies; enjoyed travel, shopping, bowling and truly loved and enjoyed her family and friends. Kathy retired after 18 years as the Payroll Clerk for Garner Brothers Corporation in Dayton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brother Ronald Lang.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 46 years Thomas R. Garner, whom she married April 7, 1968: daughters Crystal Gebhart & husband Keith of Piqua; Misty Deaton & husband Jim of Clayton, OH: grandchildren Kelsey and Matthew Humbarger and Megan Gebhart: sister Connie Priester of Marysville, MI.

Friends may call on the family from 4:00 - 8:00 PM Friday at the Robert L. Crooks Funeral Center at Preble Memory Gardens - 3377 US Rt. 35 - West Alexandria, OH. Funeral services 11:00 AM Saturday, September 27, 2014 at the Grace and Worship Center - 1950 US Rt. 35 E. Eaton, OH. Son-in-law Rev. Dr. Keith Gebhart presiding. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Lung Cancer Foundation of America.
