MUNFORDVILLE — Lucy Murray Bailey, 89, of Munfordville, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2010, at her home, surrounded by family and friends.

She was a member of Leitchfield Crossing Baptist Church, a retired homemaker and a seamstress. She was a loving mother and had a passion for helping young ministers and their families. She was a daughter of the late Harvey Murray and Beatrice Wells Murray. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Buford Bailey; two brothers, Walter B. Murray and Reynold “Bummy” Murray; and a sister, Alma King.

Funeral is at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brooks Funeral Home, with burial in Munfordville City Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Bailey, of Munfordville; a sister-in-law, Gertrude Murray, of Elizabethtown; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
