She was born Feb. 10, 1909, at Victoria, the daughter of Joseph and Katherine Brungardt Weigel.
She attended Hays Normal School, Hays, and graduated from Kansas State University. A resident of the nursing home in Overland Park for 10 years, she moved to Overland Park in 1960, and had been a schoolteacher in Elizabeth, N.J.
Survivors include: several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Joseph, Raymond, Bonavent, Wendelin, Edgar, William and Dr. Bernard; and four sisters, Ida Weigel, Elnora Siegel, Elsie Schamber and Hattie Weigel.
Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. today at Cline's Mortuary of Hays. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, with Father Frank X. Grinko OFM presiding. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today and 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery.
