Suggested edit: HILLSBORO - Regina F. (Murphy) Fath, 85, a lifelong resident of Hillsboro, died at 3:40 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 1992, at Hillsboro Area Hospital. Funeral Mass performed by the Rev. Fr. Terence Tracey, Pastor, will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday, with burial in St. Agnes Cemetery, Hillsboro.

Visitation is today, Wednesday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bass Funeral Home, with prayer service at 7:30 p.m.

She was born Nov. 26, 1906, in Hillsboro to Thomas and Elizebeth (Vonderlock) Murphy. She had worked as a telephone operator for Illinois Consolidated Telephone Co. She and Herschel Fath of Hillsboro were married July 26, 1952, and he died April 9, 1986.

Mrs. Fath was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church and of St. Agnes Rosary Society.

She is survived by one stepson, William Fath of Hillsboro; four step-grandchildren, Tom Fath of Clinton, Roger, Karen and Amy Fath, all of Hillsboro, and four step-great-grandchildren.

She also leaves a sister, Margaret Baugher, and a brother, Leo Murphy, both of Hillsboro.

Three brothers and two sisters had died, Tom, Pat and John Murphy, Kathleen Hoffmeyer and infant Cecelia Murphy.
