Roger is survived by his wife of 30 years, Linda D. (Armbrester) Stout. In addition to his wife Roger is survived by two children: daughter Chelsey Lynn Stout at home, and Roger L. Stout Jr. and wife Dina of Lumberport; two grandchildren: Caitlin and Correy Stout; brothers and sisters: Robert Stout and wife Donna of Lumberport, Ester Johnson and husband Mike of Spelter, Norman Stout and wife Linda of Mt. Clare, Loberta Stout of Clarksburg, Larry Stout and wife Linda of Clarksburg, Ricky Stout and wife Joyce of Weston, and Sheila Blare and husband Bruce of OH. Also surviving are twelve nieces and nephews.
Roger served his country honorably in the US Navy during the Vietnam War, and retired from the Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center in the engineering and maintenance department. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Roger also enjoyed riding motorcycles and watching his daughter play softball and volleyball.
The family will receive friends at the Davis-Weaver Funeral Home 329 E. Main St. Clarksburg, on Thursday, July 24, 2014 from 3 until 8 P.M. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 12 Noon at the funeral home with Pastor Bryan Lamm presiding. Interment will follow in the WV National Cemetery at Pruntytown where full military honors will be accorded.
