Mrs. Berenice M. Connors, 77, formerly of 1849 Fayette, Beloit, died Monday in Beloit Convalescent Center.

Born October 15, 1907, in DePere, she married John F. Connors on May 4, 1929, in Sheboygan. He died April 9, 1980. Mrs. Connors formerly was employed as a substitute teacher by the Beloit School System and more than 25 years as a proofreader by the Beloit Daily News. She was a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, its Altar Society, Beloit Hospital Auxiliary, Golden Aires of Grinnell Hall, Retired Teachers Association, Beloit Daily News Quarter Century and Pioneer Clubs and Blackhawk Technical Club.

Surviving are two sons, John Jr. of Waukesha and Michael of New Baltimore, Michigan; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Thomas Fabiszak of Beloit and Charles Fabiszak of North Port, Florida.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Daley-Murphy-Wisch Funeral Home and 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Thabor Cemetery. Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
