The Kankakee papers record the death of Mrs. Lillian D. Dewey, wife of R.S. Dewey, Superintendent of the Eastern Illinois Hospital for the Insane. Her death took place on Friday, Nov. 19.
Mrs. Dewey just before her death gave birth to a healthy son, which is still living. she had always enjoyed robust health and her death was very sudden and very unexpected.
Mrs. Dewey was about thirty years of age and had been married a little over seven years. Her infant son was her fourth child, three of whom survive, the oldest being about three years old.
Mrs. Dewey was a woman of great beauty, and loveliness of disposition and was eminently respected and beloved by all who knew her.
