THE PARIS NEWS, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23, 2014, PAGE 3 - Bobby Rhodes, 70 of Paris, passed away Sunday, Sept. 21, 2014, in Paris Regional Medical Center.

Bobby was born on March 3, 1944, in Maxey, Texas, a son of Dennis and Barbara Leatherwood Rhodes. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Eloise Goss, Mary Evelyn Woodard; and brothers, Cecil Rhodes, James Rhodes and Robert Rhodes.

Bobby is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cherry Rhodes; daughters, Mandy Barnett and husband Keith, Melissa LeBlanc and husband Bert; grandson, Christopher Barnett; brothers, Kenneth Rhodes, Joe Rhodes, Richard Rhodes and Willie Rhodes; many nieces and nephews and his constant companion, Lucy.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday in the chapel of Fry & Gibbs Funeral Home with his nephew Robbie Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery with military honors provided by U.S. Air Force Honor Guard.
