A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Gladfelter Funeral Home with Reverend Duane Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery in Marseilles. Visitation will be held from noon until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Bobby Thompson, Roger, Michael, and Ryan Wilson, and Bret and Steven Bailey.
Kent was born May 18, 1956 in Ottawa, the son of Olie and Ruby (Williams) Wilson. He is survived by his children, Jimmy Wilson of Morris and Desirae Gedye of Ottawa; his brothers and sisters, Roger (Jackie) Wilson of Ottawa, Beverly (Robert) Thompson of Ottawa, Michael Wilson of Ottawa, Sue Kelay of Columbus IN, Ronnie Burton of Columbus IN, Lisa Williams of Ottawa, Maria Padilla of Streator, Tom Monzano of Tucson AZ, and Leo Jarvis of Terre Haute IN; grandchildren, Nevaeh Gedye of Ottawa and Shawn Wilson of Longview WA; as well as several nieces and nephews. Kent was preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bobby” Wilson and a nephew, Bobby Wilson, Jr.
Kent was employed by 4-Star Campground in Marseilles. He loved music as was evident in his talent for playing the bass guitar. He also enjoyed fishing. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
