Lawrence P. Simon, 69, of Brooksville, Fla., and a former resident of Clinton Township for 36 years, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, in Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville. He was born March 17, 1936, in Shelby, Ohio.
Mr. Simon was employed for 30 years as a color matcher at Ford Motor Company's vinyl and paint plant in Mount Clemens and the Chesterfield Township plant.

He was a member of Knights of Columbus 3rd and 4th degree Council 11877 St. Theresa Parish, a past council treasurer, and St. Theresa's Parish in Spring Hill, Fla.

Mr. Simon is survived by his wife, Mary Jane (nee Sebastian); children, Catherine (Allen) Dunn of St. Clair, Teresa (Scott) Cottingham of McDonough, Ga., Lawrence Jr. of Clark Lake, Joseph of St. Clair Shores, Ernest (Lori) of Macomb Township and James (Sara) of Durham, N.C.; sisters, Cynthia Dove of Roxie, Miss. and Linda (Chris) Satterly of Algonac; brothers, Ernest of Algonac and Clifford (Gwen) of New Haven; and 10 grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Eva Mae (nee O'Lary); sisters, Clara and Margaret; and brother, Frederick.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church, 100 New St., Mount Clemens. Burial will be in St. Peter Cemetery, Clinton Township.

Visitation is 6-9 p.m. today at Ashley-Scott Funeral Home, 340 E. Nine Mile, Hazel Park. Additional visitation is 9-9:30 a.m. Thursday in the church.
