“Enrolled August 15, 1862 in Decatur, IL. Was mustered into service September 6, 1862 Dacatur, IL as a private under Capt. Davis Company 116th Illinois Infantry which organization subsequently became Company G 116th Illinois Infantry and was killed in action at Atlanta, GA as a private.”
