WHEATFIELD - Walter Lee Owens, 74, died in Porter Memorial Hospital, Valparaiso, at 10:08 AM Sunday, May 19, 1968, following a six month illness.

Born in Boone County, April 25, 1894, he was a retired farmer and was married to Elizabeth Culp in Jasper County in 1935.

Surviving with the widow are two sons, Donald Owens of Wheatfield and Charles Owens of Valparaiso; a daughter, Mrs. Clara Williams of Rensselaer; three brothers, Frank Owens of South Bend, Omer J. Owens of Medaryville, and Joseph Owens of Monon; and ten grandchildren.
