LOSTY. Helen McLaughlin Losty, of East Hartford, wife of Joseph J. Losty, died Monday (April 29, 1996) at home. She was born in Hampton, CT, the daughter of the late John and Susan McLaughlin. She had lived in East Hartford for the last 31 years.
She was a graduate of the Saint Francis School of Nursing, class of 1936, and was employed as a registered nurse until her retirement. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, John J. Losty of East Hartford; two daughters, Susan L. Durrenberger and Joann L. Terry, both of Coventry; a brother, Robert McLaughlin of Pomfret; and a sister, Mary McCormick of Hartford; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, James Walter Losty.
The funeral will be Wedne sday (May 1), 10 a.m., at St. Christopher's Church, Brewer Street, East Hartford. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours. Donations may be made to the Archdiocese of Hartford, Office of Radio and TV, 785 Asylum A ve., Hartford. Newkirk & Whitney Funeral Home, East Hartford has charge of arrangements.
