Doris Earnhart Horner, 86, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 20, 2014, after an illness of several months.

Born March 8, 1928, in Fort Mill, SC, she was born again in Christ at age 25 in Jacksonville, Florida. She loved the Lord and was an active member of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, Brevard, NC.

She was preceded in death by son Charles Richard Horner, parents, Jacob Calvin and Lottie Louise Earnhart, sister Lillian Kennedy, and brothers Charles Earnhart and Billie Earnhart.

Loving companion to her husband, Mom to her children, Doris to her friends, and Nano to her grandchildren, she touched many lives and was quick to speak to them of her faith in Christ. She dearly loved them all, prayed for them regularly, and appreciated the love they showed her. Her lifelong prayer was that her family and friends will all be together with God in heaven one day, singing "To God Be the Glory"!

She is survived by her loving Christian husband of 64 years William (Bill) Horner, daughter Joyce Banker and husband Tim Banker, son William (Bill) Horner Jr. and wife Marcia, son John Horner and fiancée Jennifer, daughter-in-law Karen Horner, grandsons Joshua Horner, David Banker, Will Horner, Patrick Horner, granddaughters Vanessa Ross, Susanna Horner, Elizabeth Horner, and their respective families, four great-grandchildren, and two more great-grandbabies on the way.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church with Dr. Andy Silman officiating. Interment will be at Beulah Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
