Elizabeth Cotham Trice, age 98, a resident of Lewisburg, TN passed away on Monday, October 31, 2011 following an extended illness at the Donaldson Care Center, Fayetteville, TN.

Interment in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

She was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Robert Trice in 1937, and on October 31, 2011, she rejoined him as she transitioned to her eternal reward. She was the daughter of the late John and Annie Gupton Cothran born Apr 12, 1913 in Giles County, Tennessee.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers: Oddie, Claude, and Flouny Cothram; and two sisters Mattie Campbell (#123647923) and Lucille Owens Smith.

She was a faithful and dedicated member of the Liggett Street Church of God, Lewisburg, TN for over 55 years under the pastoral leadership of Elder McGhee, Elder Harris, Bishop Charles Shirley, and Elder Eddie Shirley, she served as the Usher Board President, Trustee, and the Ladies In Blue President.

She was educated in the Giles County school system. She retired as a Domestic Engineer, and a Private Sitter. During her career in New York, she was employed by the late actress Elizabeth Taylor. She traveled and toured throughout the United States, Europe, and the Holy Lands. She was a devoted niece to her mother's sister, Aunt Haughty Black until her death at age of 106.
