Sidney was a British home child...he along with his brother William were put on a ship called the HMS Corinthian in London on March 13, 1913 , they were sent to Saint John, New Brunswick Canada..they arrived on the 30th of March 1913 and were then put on a train and sent to the Barnardo home for children in Toronto...Sidney was 13 at the time and William 11 the boys stayed in the home until they were 15 at which time they were sent to farms in Ontario where they worked...they were reunited in 1921 on a farm in Essix county in Ontario...they then came to Detroit in 1922 where they met and married their spouses...they remained in the area the rest of their lives and raised their families.
