Services for O. E. Ivey Jr., age 80, who died Saturday, May 31, will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 3, 2003 in Williams Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Memory Hill Cemetery, Milledgegille, Rev. Jim Nipper and Rev. Mark Fessier officiating. ( O. E. Ivey was reintered in Heritage Memorial Park Cemetery) Mr. Ivey was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. The son of the late Osmer E. Ivey,Sr. and the late Carrie Green Ivey, he was a retired owner of Ivey Tire Service after 20 years. He also had worked at Central State Hospital for 13 years and had farmed for many years. Mr. Ivey was a member of Hardwick Christian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Annelle Benson Ivey of Milledgeville; daughter, June (Wayne) Fuqua of Dublin; sons; Steve (Judy) Ivey, Gary (Barbara) Ivey and Dale (Lisa) Ivey, all of Milledgeville; sisters, Edna Harris of Warner Robbins, Mary Henry, Gloria Tanner, Myra Towns and Drucilla Weaver, all of Milledgeville; brother Tiny Ivey of Milledgeville; 17 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Milledgeville in charge of arrangements.
