Laconia - Joanne "Jaye" M. (Bayne) Mills, 59, of 765 Union Avenue, Lakeport , died at her home on Monday, September 15, 2014. Jaye was born May 9, 1955 in Boston, Mass., the daughter of the late George and Helen (Knopf) Bayne.

Jaye raised her family in Moultonborough and was a program coordinator for developmentally disabled individuals. She was a member of the Native American Church and the United Methodist Church in Moultonborough. She was an artist, poet, and writer.

Survivors include a son, Jeremy Mills; four daughters, Katrina Gilmartin, Angelique Mills, Tiffany Mills and Desiree Hagan; eight grandchildren, Jacob, Abby, Aaron, Valerie, Elliot, Natalie, Milla and Olivia; a brother, George Bayne; three sisters, Ellen, Mary and Sharon; four nieces and four nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

An extended Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014 at 12 noon at Union Cemetery, 176 Academy Street, Laconia, N.H.

A Celebration of Life will follow at Pitman's Freight Room, 94 New Salem Street, Laconia, N.H.

For those who wish, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to Jeremy Mills, 117 Middle Route, Belmont, NH 03220.
