Warren G. Edwards, 91, of Westport Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Richmond, VA, formerly of Fulton, IL, died Thursday, September 11, 2014, at the Center.

Warren was born July 26, 1923, in Wyoming, IA, to Delbert E. and Mayme A. (First) Edwards. He was educated in the Clinton Grade Schools and was a graduate of Clinton High School in Clinton, IA. Warren was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force serving during World War II. He married Rosemary E. Johannsen on June 23, 1946, in Fulton, IL. She died January 23, 2003. Most recently, Warren was employed by General Electric in Morrison, IL, until retiring on April 1, 1986. He was a member of the Fulton Presbyterian Church in Fulton, IL and served as trustee and elder. Warren also served on the Fulton City Council during the late 1960’s and early 1970’s. He enjoyed woodworking, reading, keeping up with current events, and spending time with family.

Survivors include one daughter, Linda (Steve) Stuart of Huntersville, NC; one son, Richard “Rick” (Kathy) Edwards of Richmond, VA; five grandchildren, Bradd Stuart, Laurie (Carlo) Pilla, Jeff (Lauren) Edwards, Michael Edwards, and Amy Edwards; three great-grandchildren, Brady Judge, Avery Edwards, and Domenick Edwards; and one sister, Marian Edwards of Clinton, IA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary; one sister, Lois Johnson, two brothers, Milton and Arthur Edwards.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 10:30 AM Saturday – September 20, 2014 at the Fulton Presbyterian Church, Fulton, IL with Pastor Blake Severson officiating.

VISITATION: 4:00 – 7:00 PM Friday – September 19, 2014 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home

INTERMENT: Fulton Township Cemetery – Fulton, IL
