Odell H. Green, 82, of 507 Franklin Drive died 7 a.m. Monday, April 20, 1992, at Henry County Medical Center. He had been a Henry County resident since 1989.
Services have been set 2 p.m. Friday at McEvoy Funeral Home with Jerry Lee of New Harmony Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Named as pallbearers were Gregory, Brian and George Hohman; Mark and David Luna; and Daniel Green.
A native of Dyer County, Green was born Dec. 22, 1909, son of the late Edgar and Effie Stewart Green. He was married Nov. 4, 1933, to the former Margaret A. Cheek, who preceded him in death April 16, 1991. He was retired since 1960 as a first sergeant in the U.S. Army. He later worked in civil service at Fort Riley, Kan.
Survivors include two daughters, Pattye Luna of Baldwin Park, Calif., and Jackye Hohman of Schwenksville, Pa.; a son, Dick Green of Warwick, N.Y.; a sister, Velma Mizell of St. Joseph, La.; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Herman, Malcolm and Bill Green.
