She emigrated to Pennsylvania during the wave of migration prompted by William Penn, arriving in Philadelphia on 17 September 1684 on the ship Vine of Liverpool, via Dolserau near Dolgellau, Merionethshire, Wales, in the company of the Henry Baker family from Lancashire.
She lived with the family of Phineas Pemberton in Bristol Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania until her marriage.
